From need to solution
Context
The publisher started with no online store and ran several separate sites (corporate, collections, authors). The strategy was to merge them and bring more than 700 titles together in one site that works as both a showcase (portfolio) and an online store.
Challenge
The publishing house had no online store and managed a catalog of more than 700 titles spread across several sites, with complex variants (formats, editions, languages). The existing platforms were slow and poorly suited to mobile, which led to a high bounce rate.
Solution
I set up a headless architecture with Shopify Hydrogen and React for high performance, migrated and normalized more than 700 titles, and unified the content (collections, authors). I also built a search engine with advanced filters and richer book pages (excerpts, metadata).
